Work underway on £12m Crewe HQ for Radius Payment Solutions
Work is now underway on a new multi-million pound global HQ for payments and fleet services provider Radius Payment Solutions.
A turf-cutting ceremony today (June 9) heralds the start of construction work on the £12m Admiral Court scheme at Crewe Business Park.
North West building firm Pochin’s is delivering the 66,000 sq ft campus.
Radius, which operates from 20 offices across 13 countries, said the new site will improve capacity from its existing facility at Herald Park in Crewe to up to 500 employees, as it continues to promote the Cheshire town as its international base.
Work on the four-storey building, which will include communal meeting areas, a café and a gym, is due for completion in Spring 2018.
Radius Payment Solutions CEO Bill Holmes said: “Staying in Crewe was always at the forefront of our plans for this exciting move.
“We’re a growing international business and the area’s connectivity in that respect made it the obvious choice for us to keep our global headquarters here.
He continued: “What we now have is the opportunity to create a unique, modern working environment for our staff that will further enhance our ability to attract the best talent.
“We’re extremely pleased to be able to do so in conjunction with Pochin’s who share our passion for building on the established reputation of Cheshire and the North West as a location of choice for big businesses.”
How Planning, ABA Consultants, AEW Architects, SI Sealy and Abacus are consultants on the scheme. Legat Owen and Matthews & Goodman are appointed as agents.
Pochin’s Ltd director Bob Nicholson commented: “This project is our first commercial office build since handing over the keys to Moneypenny’s ambitious new headquarters in Wrexham last summer.
“That campus project has gone on to be recognised by the British Council for Offices as the best new corporate workplace in the North and we’re looking forward to working with AEW Architects again to deliver another high quality project for Radius.”
