Extra support for RNLI as Barratt team completes Romsey Relay Marathon fundraising event
Barratt Homes workers have been putting their best feet forward - raising more than £1,200 for the RNLI. A team representing the five star housebuilder successfully completed the recent Romsey Relay Marathon, a community race held annually on the beautiful Broadlands Estate.
“Once again, we were headline sponsors of this thoroughly worthwhile event, which each year helps to raise thousands of pounds for charities and good causes,” said sales director Michelle Storer.
“This year, we also entered a team in support of the RNLI. The charity is heavily relied upon - particularly within our coastal region - saving lives at sea by providing a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, and other vital initiatives. “During the event, we managed a very respectable time of 3 hours and 22 minutes - coming 20th out of 95 teams. But most importantly we were able to demonstrate our backing for an incredibly important community resource.
“We work hard to become a part of the communities where we are building new homes - and supporting this latest event is very much a part of that.” Anyone wishing to donate can do so by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/BarrattSouthampton
