Port of Blyth looking for new local business partners
thf publications, publishers of the “Love Blyth” magazine, are proud to announce the launch of its quarterly business luncheon forum at the Port Training Centre at the Quayside, Blyth on Friday 30th June 2017 from 12-2pm. This quarterly luncheon forum will be a 2 course sit down meal of fresh local produce prepared by the famous Blyth Boathouse Cafe whilst overlooking the sea from the the first floor of the Centre where the event is being held.
The first speaker at this inaugural event will be from the Operations Directorate at the Port of Blyth. The Port of Blyth does business globally and is a £23million a year turnover business which employsover 2000 people. The Port is the fastest growing and 7th largest in the UK. It is this growth that has made the Port a key economic driver in the region not only as an employer but also indirectly supporting many thousands of jobs in the region.
Andy Williamson, Business Development Manager at the Port of Blyth, welcomes the aim of these forums and said the Port is always on the lookout for new business suppliers, from the many small businesses in the many industrial estates in the region, as it continues its growth.
George Forster from thf publications, who are hosting the event said, the aim of these quarterly business luncheon forum is to bring together the decision makers of the big businesses in the town to meet up with the small businesses in the small industrial estates that abound our region, to tell them about their plans and how the small business community can get involved. They do not come any bigger than the Port of Blyth in the town. Other speakers lined up for future events are from Royal I H C Engineering, Catapult Ore, Draeger and many more. These forums will always be held on a Friday at the end of a quarter, so that if you have achieved your targets you can celebrate, if not, you can commiserate at the adjacent Boathouse Cafe. Exciting and interesting things are happening at the Port of Blyth and together we can “Make Blyth Boom Again.” To book your place for this inaugural event please click here http://bit.ly/2sLLBdD or contact George on 07598 632786.
