Alex goes the extra mile in Exeter
Throughout New Homes Week, Barratt Homes shone a light on the local people who are helping to bring new homes to Exeter.
The five-star housebuilder is applauding the shining stars who work behind the scenes to ensure the region’s new communities are a success.
In Exeter it is celebrating the work of Alex Hugo, whose job it is to oversee the acquisition of suitable residential development land across Devon and Cornwall. As development director for the company he has helped to bring countless new communities to the South West in recent years, including Hillside Gardens and Pinn Brook in Exeter.
Alex started his career with Barratt Homes while he was on his placement year with the housebuilder as part of his degree at Plymouth University. Over the years he quickly climbed the ladder, working his way up to Development Director.
Alex said: “The housebuilding industry is an exciting one to work in and one that’s going from strength to strength. Without doubt the most rewarding part of my job is visiting our developments and seeing people moving into their new homes. It’s great to be able to see the results of our work after years of meticulous planning.”
Sara Parker, sales director at David Wilson Homes, said: “Creating a brand-new community is no mean feat – it takes meticulous planning, attention to detail and hard work. New Homes Week is the perfect time to celebrate the people working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this happen.
“Alex is a shining example of how our employees go the extra mile and we couldn’t be more proud of him.”
New Homes Week, organised by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) aims to highlight the many reasons why purchasing a new build is a great option for buyers.
