CoolKit lead the pack
CoolKit is one of the first approved partners named for the new Toyota Converter programme. The Toyota Trade Plus programme provides off-the-shelf and bespoke LCV conversions through a national network, initially covering the Hilux Tipper, Proace refrigerated panel vans and standard racking kits. CoolKit in Burnley has created the refrigerated conversion for the Proace – which was displayed on the Toyota stand at this year’s CV Show. The programme has been launched to guarantee a quality assured conversion to Toyota customers within the refrigerated transport industry. Cameron Javed, Sales Director at CoolKit, said: “We are proud to be among the first five approved partners for the new Toyota Converter programme. “Being part of this new Toyota Authorised Converter programme, confirms that CoolKit meets Toyota’s stringiest quality standards in every aspect of the conversion process, including warranty and aftersales service, providing customers with complete peace of mind when purchasing a refrigerated vehicle. “Our Proace conversion provides customers with a refrigerated option for a vehicle that offers a lot of benefits to businesses.” The refrigerated conversion was based on a medium wheelbase model, creating an internal loadspace of 2,135mm length, 1,128mm width and 1,347mm height. A Hubbard Zanotti SFZ009 refrigerated unit was used on the vehicle with an under-chassis condenser and off-cycle defrosting. The conversion featured high-quality standard attributes such as hygienic GRP interior surface, reinforced resin floor and aluminium floor edge tread plates, together with extra specifications including LED loadspace lighting, strip curtains, drain hole and overnight standby. Gareth Matthews, Toyota’s LCV Manager, said: “These programmes have been developed in direct response to customer demand and the regular enquiries we were having about whether we could supply refrigerated vans or tippers for our all-new LCV line-up. “We congratulate our first authorised converters and look forward to welcoming more over the coming months to increase our coverage across the country.”
