Sheffield corporate law firm announces joint venture with Needle Partners
Mackenzie Spencer, the Sheffield-based corporate finance firm, has announced a joint venture with the international commercial law firm, Needle Partners.
The agreement combines the deals experience of Mackenzie Spencer with the legal expertise and global resources of Needle Partners.
Operating under the name Needle Mackenzie Spencer, the joint venture will provide businesses with a complete transaction solution service. The company will offer the service from offices in Sheffield, Leeds and the Thames Valley.
Chris Sellars, managing director of Mackenzie Spencer, said: “The process of completing a transaction can be a complex and challenging one.
“Bringing the delivery of both the lead advisory and legal aspects within one service, streamlines the process, the delivery and, most importantly, the communication with the client who will now have one point of contact throughout.”
Sharon Needle, founder and Managing Partner of Needle Partners, added: “One of Needle’s plans on becoming an Alternative Business Structure last December was to seek out additional services that would benefit our clients.
“Working with Mackenzie Spencer under the new banner will give our clients the opportunity to obtain specialist corporate finance advice in a seamless way, either complementing their existing advisors or as an add on service.
“I believe we are unique in offering this to our clients and very much look forward to working with Chris and his team with clients based both in the UK and overseas.”
Chris commented: “Working with Sharon and her team brings a breadth of transaction experience to the Needle Mackenzie Spencer team, along with international connections in Kuala Lumpur and a fantastic reputation of exceptional legal services.
“I am excited about the opportunity to expand our geographical footprint and to explore the potential of offering our complete transaction service to international markets.”
Mackenzie Spencer offers a range of services from mentoring business owners and preparing businesses for sale to advising Management Buy Out teams and fundraising for growth.
Needle Partners offers commercially focused legal services and was started over nine years ago by Sharon.
