Local residents host street party to celebrate The Great Get Together
Residents at David Wilson Homes’ St John’s Walk development in Hoylandswaine held a street party on Saturday 17th June to take part in The Great Get Together, in honour of Jo Cox, which saw them join together for an afternoon of food, drink and celebration.
The Great Get Together initiative took place from 16th – 18th June and was inspired by Jo Cox to bring communities together and celebrate all that they have in common, over shared food and drinks. David Wilson Homes’ helped the day along with the donation of two hampers for its residents and their family and friends, including plenty of treats for everyone.
Katy Cushing, Sales Adviser at St John’s Walk, commented: “It was brilliant to see the residents of St John’s Walk come together to enjoy some lovely food, drink and the sunshine, and in honour of such a worthy cause. St John’s Walk has an excellent community spirit and I’m thrilled I could join in the celebrations for a short while!”
