THE MONTESSORI PEOPLE CELEBRATE THEIR CLASS OF 2017 IN STYLE

The Montessori People Nursery School celebrated its “Class of 2017” with its sixth preschool graduation celebration.

The Thornaby based nursery school was delighted to welcome over 100 family members to celebrate this great occasion.

The largest number of children ever, 29, were presented with their graduation scrolls in the new larger venue of St Francis’ Church close to the nursery. This special day is significant for all the families to see their children donning the golden cap and gowns provided by the nursery.

Every year the whole preschool class look forward to this highlight in The Montessori Peoples’ academic calendar.

Nursery owner, Michelle Tudor said:

“As ever it is sad to say goodbye to the preschoolers, but we know we have given them the best start for big school and they leave with desire to learn and enthusiasm for life, we hope that will continue with them. Having the largest class ever graduate this year has been a really proud moment for me and all of the staff at the nursery.”

This is the first time the graduation has taken place away from the nursery based in the High Flyers Children Centre in Thornaby, due to the extensive development work that is currently being undertaken at the Outstanding Ofsted nursery enlarging the roll call from 72 to 120 children.

The increase is due to the introduction of the 30 hours’ free childcare scheme, doubling the amount of support for working parents across the country.

The work will be completed by September 2017 to welcome the next set of graduates to the preschool department, which will be able to offer up to 50 places for 3-4 year olds.

One of the outgoing graduate’s Mum, Amanda Short, said:

“We couldn’t be happier with the consistent, high quality, holistic care delivered by the Montessori People that has enabled our children to thrive. Learning and fun are the same things for a happy child and the Montessori People have provided both in abundance”

The Montessori People Nursery School provide a creative and stimulating experience, based on independent play and learning, from six weeks onwards.
