Wandle invests in Predictive Analytics
London based social landlord, Wandle has invested in predictive analytical solution RentSense to help them mitigate welfare reform and universal credit.
Prior to deploying RentSense the income team were struggling to access the correct cases at the right time, according to Alison Wade, Income manager at Wandle.
“Our Housing Management System was not reliable in generating the correct accounts to review. Which meant accounts in arrears were missed and it was an onerous task for Income Officers to check through all accounts on their patch.”
With the threat of welfare reform to revenue collection and the increased workload of Universal Credit Wandle were keen to create efficiencies to mitigate these ongoing challenges to income collection, as Alison explains.
“With Universal Credit, it is important to protect Wandle’s income so we can continue to provide an excellent service to our residents. Rentsense will allow resources to be focused on maximising income and reducing arrears.”
On go live day with RentSense not only did it reduce the officers’ overall caseload it flagged cases that the HMS was missing.
“On launch day, we discovered a leasehold property with extremely high arrears which had not been picked up using previous methods. The Leasehold Officer responsible for the patch was quite shocked and contacted the resident immediately.”
This is just one example of how RentSense has helped Wandle from day one, moreover the income team have embraced using RentSense, in part because it is so simple and easy to use.
“The Income Team have been very supportive of RentSense and started using it straight away as they could see the obvious benefits. Our account manager was excellent on go-live, they provided a really informative and clear training session for everyone,” commented Alison.
