Next Ask Digital Event Booked In After First Stirred up Huge Interest

A free advice event run by staff from an award-winning Derbyshire digital agency was such a huge success that they already planned the next one.

Fifteen, which is owned by award-winning entrepreneur Ollie Piddubriwnyj, held Ask Digital at The BookCafé in Derby on July 3. It saw staff with different areas of digital expertise give free advice to small businesses on web presence and how their business can grow online.

Ollie, said: “We were blown away with the amazing turnout, more than 30 people turned up in the two hour time slot. We barely had time to stop for a drink.

“We had a mix of businesses, freelancers, community interest companies and charity organisations. People had a range of business issues they wanted to talk to us about, including social media, web hosting and conversion optimisation on their web pages.

“What emerged from Ask Digital as a reoccurring issue was the problems people face when it comes to increasing audience engagement on social media. They wanted to know how to encourage donations to their organisation or engage communities to attend their events.”

Ilkeston based Fifteen has 31 staff, all with expertise in different areas of digital. The company has won a number of awards for websites it has designed and staff recently enjoyed an all expenses holiday to Ibiza, courtesy of Ollie, to thank them for their hard work.

Clair Rainbow, who attended the Ask Digital, said: “It was really special being able to come to a quiet space to have these conversations and feel supported whilst sipping my favourite drink.

“Discussing topics that I feel in the dark about, and being challenged about the choices I have made and am due to make, was all really valuable. It was like chatting with friends.”

On the back of the success of the event Fifteen will be hosting another Ask Digital event next month. It will take place on Monday August 7, 10am -12pm, at The BookCafé.
