The Ride and The Serpentine launched exclusively at Alderley Park
One of Cheshire’s most prestigious developments for years – Alderley Park – is beginning to take shape with the launch of two new additions: The Ride and The Serpentine. Created by renowned luxury specialist PH Homes, this eagerly-anticipated residential enclave near to fashionable Alderley Edge promises to ‘redefine Alderley living’; and these two new stages will add a wide variety of exclusive properties to the scheme.
Reflecting Cheshire village life, The Ride occupies a southern corner of the 400-acre former country estate of the Stanley family, and consists of just 14 stunning homes inspired by the architecture of local villages, with several properties arranged around a newly-created ‘green’ adjacent to the estate’s original cricket pitch and walled garden.
Entering through an imposing gateway with pillars topped by imperious stone eagles, it will feature a new landmark ‘lodge’ incorporating a distinctive octagonal ‘tower’, and also includes the Gardener’s Cottage, a Victorian home originally built for the estate’s Head Gardener tastefully extended and transformed into a fabulous four bedroom home.
The Serpentine is the largest and most exclusive section of PH Homes’ development, with 33 properties in total, close to the sinuous body of water created in Victorian times and bordered by ancient woodland. The homes near the entrance to The Serpentine are grouped in village style, while those nearer the lake are set back in their grounds, giving them a rural feel.
These will be amongst the most lavish homes in the area, ranging from four bedroomed family homes to six bedroomed villas, in a variety of individual styles mixing Georgian features with local materials – and like all the homes at Alderley Park, they’ve been designed by internationally-acclaimed architect Robert Adam.
Residents at The Ride and The Serpentine will benefit not only from the beautiful rural surroundings – with hundreds of acres of parkland, lakes, woodland and formal gardens to explore – but also the exceptional facilities at Alderley Park, which are planned to include a leisure and sports club with gym, tennis courts and football pitches, top class dining and accommodation in the listed Tenant’s Hall and even its own farm shop.
Prices for homes at The Ride start from £525,000, and at The Serpentine from £775,000. Anyone wishing to register their interest should email PH Homes at alderleypark@phph.co.uk, or visit www.phph.co.uk.
