BOFA Appoints New Operations Director to Manage Strategic Growth
Kevin Bamford has been appointed the new Operations Director at Poole-based BOFA International, the award-winning world leader in industrial process fume and dust extraction technology.
Kevin is a highly experienced senior manager, with over 20 years’ international board level experience in a wide variety of industries. He will be responsible for the strategic direction and expansion of BOFA through continuous improvement, process flow enhancements using Lean techniques and supply chain collaboration. He will also be responsible for the care and wellbeing of BOFA’s employees.
Since its formation in 1987 as a small family business, BOFA has developed into a global leader of technology that removes hazardous airborne contaminants created during industrial processes, such as laser marking and PCB manufacture. It employs over 200 people at its Poole headquarters, with offices and warehouses in Germany and the USA, and serves a diverse range of sectors in over 100 countries.
Kevin commented: “This is a very exciting time to be joining BOFA. The company is in a period of sustained growth and I am looking forward to contributing my commercial and international business experience to help drive the expansion of its export activity still further.”
BOFA recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and has just received a Queen’s Award for Innovation to add to the Queen’s Award for Export gained in 2012. The company has grown rapidly over the last two years, following a management buy-out, and currently sells 90% of its products overseas.
Kevin lives in Westbury, Wiltshire and is married with two teenage children. Outside of work he enjoys, golf, collecting guitars and is a keen supporter of Bath Rugby Club.
