AquaPark is opening this week at North Yorkshire Water Park

A new water park boasting a ‘Total Wipeout’ style inflatable obstacle course is opening this week near Scarborough at North Yorkshire Water Park.

AquaPark is opening on Tuesday 18 July at Wykeham Lakes and will feature everything from a 5 metre floating slide, trampolines, balance bars and rollers, as well as a blast bag which uses a gust of air to force visitors upwards.

Open from 10am to 6pm daily over the summer holidays, the park is set to remain open throughout the summer and up until late October, and will run alongside the water park’s usual programme of summer activities and events.

Andrew Backhouse, Manager of North Yorkshire Water Park commented: “The whole team is really excited to be opening tomorrow.

“We’ve had hugely positive feedback from all those who’ve experienced the AquaPark so far with everyone from children, families, and groups of friends telling us how much they’ve enjoyed it.”

Janet Deacon, Scarborough Borough Council Tourism Manager added: “We welcome these exciting plans for another significant investment in our leisure and tourism sector, which will complement existing attractions in the area.

“The investment by Dawnay Estates demonstrates continuing private sector confidence in the borough’s future as a leading visitor destination.”
