Sheffield entrepreneur behind Doordeals sees turnover hit £4m
Steve Naylor, the man behind Sheffield door brand Doordeals, is celebrating bumper financials in the last 12 months as revenues exceeded £4m in its tenth year.
The business, which was founded in 2007, was born after Steve had worked closely with his father John in the 90s at one of Sheffield’s first hardware and door shops, Abbeydale DIY Centre, which opened back in the 1970s.
Originally set up as an ecommerce business, Doordeals has since grown to encompass a showroom on Saxon Road in Heeley and a fleet of specially adapted vehicles that allows the brand to deliver anywhere in the UK.
The company has also grown headcount from just two members of staff running the business when it was formed to more than 20 full and part-time employees.
Doordeals also sealed a six-figure deal with local football club Sheffield United in 2016 for its logo to adorn the back of the club’s home and away shirts, giving the brand national exposure.
Steve commented: “We pride ourselves on our exceptional levels of customer service and ensure that when customers are using our website they will receive the same level of service that they would in our showroom.
“However, we constantly strive to stay at the forefront of our market and to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
“We are working hard to expand our product range even further to ensure we can give our customer exactly what they want, which will in turn contribute to our continued growth as a national online retailer.”
