IT Specialists named Cloud-based Services provider 2017 in Business Continuity Awards
ITS recognised for innovative services that help companies manage explosion in data volumes and rise in ransomware
IT Specialists (ITS), a nationwide managed IT services company, has been awarded the best ‘Cloud-based Services’ title at this year’s Business Continuity Awards event in London.
ITS scooped the coveted Cloud-based Services award in recognition of its flexible and scalable business continuity and IT support solutions, which include a 24/7/365 service desk and team of nationwide field engineers.
With offices in Birmingham, Lutterworth and London, the company was recognised for its innovative BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform, a managed disaster recovery as a service platform; its private cloud, BlackCloud; and its fully managed firewall service called BlackVault Guardian ‒ one of the first of its kind.
Both technologies are used by businesses across many sectors that are experiencing a surge in the amount and type of data they are responsible for. Whether as a result of a technical failure or a ransomware attempt, any data lost can be recovered quickly using BlackVault and BlackCloud services.
ITS’ UK Sales Manager, Sally Dixon, commented: “We were delighted to be named winner at the event in London. Bringing this title home to the Midlands is a real honour, as the companies we were up against were all equally strong in this field. However, I believe we won the award as a result of our cloud-based services BlackCloud and BlackVault offering solutions that are outside the box, but at an affordable cost for small and medium businesses.”
ITS is part of global business Reynolds and Reynolds, which has over 4,500 employees internationally. Now in their 19th year, the Business Continuity Awards, hosted by CIR Magazine, recognise business continuity, security, resilience and risk professionals whose innovative strategies and industry knowledge make them stand out.
After being selected as the winner by an independent judging panel, ITS was awarded its ‘Cloud-based Services’ title at the Business Continuity Awards gala dinner and ceremony, which was attended by over 400 guests at the London Marriott Hotel.
ITS was also shortlisted in the ‘Most Effective Recovery of the Year’ category.
