Wetherby construction firm Caddick launches new strategic land arm
Construction and property development business The Caddick Group has announced the launch of a new strategic land arm.
The Wetherby-headquartered company’s new division, Caddick Land, will offer site assembly, negotiation, promotion and planning services with a focus on the English regions.
Caddick Land will be led by director Chris Procter and land manager David Baker.
Chris previously worked for Resolved Renewables, which has delivered several multi-million-pound renewable energy, residential and commercial schemes in partnership with Caddick Group.
David, meanwhile, has several years’ experience working directly with landowners to appraise sites for financial and planning viability.
Also heading up Caddick Land is Ian Laight, who joined the new division from Caddick Developments.
Chris Procter said: “While lots of other land companies simply come in get planning permission and sell a site, we are prepared to take a longer term view and create a turnkey land solution for commercial and residential developers by providing the necessary infrastructure to make a scheme work and maximise landowner returns.
“The creation of a strategic land division will also enable the wider Caddick Group to take a full lifecycle approach to development, from site identification through to planning and construction.”
Caddick Group director Myles Hartley commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Chris and David to the Caddick team, the addition of the Caddick Land business represents a natural progression for the group that will continue to strengthen Caddick’s position within development and construction industry.”
Caddick is the firm behind the recently completed Vauxhall Sky Gardens, its first residential tower in London.
