Newcastle outdoor music festival names headline sponsor
BMW and MINI retailer Lloyd Newcastle has been named as the headline sponsor for this summer’s Live from Times Square event series.
After a successful inaugural event last year, organisers are bringing the summer festival back to Newcastle city centre with artists including The Manic Street Preachers, Jake Bugg and The Libertines to feature this time around.
Organised by SSD Concerts the lineup also includes James, Leftfield, Hacienda Classical and Brian Wilson.
Michelle Caveney, Head of Business at Lloyd Newcastle, said: “I’m a huge music fan and this is such a fantastic event for Newcastle, drawing some of the most exciting acts from across the world, that we’re absolutely thrilled to be supporting it as headline sponsors.
“Not only does Live from Times Square cement Newcastle’s reputation for being able to host some of the finest cultural events in the country, giving legions of fans the chance to see globally-renowned artists, but it also provides a huge boost for the region’s economy.”
Steve Davis, founder of SSD Concerts, said: “This year’s Live from Times Square promises to be an event not to be missed and we’re very grateful for the support of Lloyd Newcastle to help us to stage an event which is already established as one of the major highlights of the region’s summer season.”
Live from Times Square takes place from July 27th to August 6th.
