James Morris MP praises new £33.6m West Midlands housing development

James Morris MP led the official unveiling of a stylish new show village at Countryside’s highly anticipated £33.6m Regis Park development in Cradley Heath.

The Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP praised the official release of 188 two, three and four-bedroom homes with a ceremonial event at the Doulton Road site last week.

The development, which is being built by Countryside in partnership with Sigma Capital Group, features a collection of high quality and affordable two, three and four-bedrooms homes that are designed for modern family living.

James Morris MP commented: “This development has fast become a welcome addition to an area that has been in desperate need of rejuvenation for quite some time, and using one of the many brownfield sites that we have available locally. I’m confident that Countryside’s commitment to building quality homes and lasting communities will bring about this much-needed transformation, whilst catering to the area’s growing demand for housing.”

John Gilbert, Regional Operations Director for Countryside’s Midlands division, added: “We’re committed to securing strong, and much-needed, residential growth in Cradley Heath and would like to thank James Morris for all of his support here today. We’ve already experienced an overwhelming amount of interest in this development, with 26 homes sold off-plan in just 18 weeks.

“This is the first Countryside development to launch in the West Midlands and its success is a testament to what can be achieved through collaborative working, whilst further strengthening our long-standing partnership with Sigma Capital Group, which has produced a number of award winning developments in the north west.”

Of the 188 homes under construction, 90 three and four bedroom homes will be available for sale on the open market, with the option to use the Government’s 5% deposit Help to Buy scheme. The remaining 98 two, three and four bedroom homes will be available for private rent under the DifRent brand.

Steven Brewster, development manager for Sigma commented: “We are really excited to be bringing our first DifRent development to the West Midlands. After our ever-growing success within the North West and a lot of interest at Regis Park already, we have high expectations for our private rental properties as we expand in to other areas across the UK.”

Situated just 1.2 miles from Old Hill railway station and 30 minutes from Dudley, Wolverhampton and Birmingham, the new Regis Park development benefits from excellent transport links and easy access to a range of local amenities.

Each of the new homes is being developed to a high quality specification to offer local families the unique opportunity to be part of the area’s impressive transformation at an affordable price.
