Morecambe’s first trampoline park springs into action thanks to North East truss specialist

Morecambe’s first ever trampoline park, Jump Rush, has officially opened, creating more than 40 jobs.

The leisure activity centre, which cost £2.5m to build, boasts more than 100 bounce zone trampolines, including both wall and floor beds, and ensures 360 degree visibility of all jumping zones for supervising parents.

Fencehouse Truss Company, based in Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear, was instrumental in creating the bespoke facility, making and supplying the flat trusses that form the podium of the park’s floor structure.

The designer, manufacturer and supplier of roof trusses built the site using pre-fabricated timber trusses, a project which was the first of its kind for the North East business.

Solomon Reader, co-owner of Jump Rush, commented: “We’re beyond pleased with the workmanship of Fencehouse Truss Company, whose timely delivery allowed us to bring this exciting new family attraction to the town of Morecambe on schedule, and just in time for the start of the school summer holidays.

“All around us we are seeing regeneration and investment in this beautiful seaside resort and it’s great to have worked with reliable and quality suppliers such as Fencehouse Truss Company, who’ve helped us to contribute with the creation of more than 40 jobs.”

Steven Harris, co-director of Fencehouse Truss Company, added: “It was fantastic to be involved in something so different for us, and to have the opportunity to help shape such a great community facility. We’re thrilled to have been a part of it.”
