Clipper Logistics signs new five-year deal with clothing retail group
Clipper Logistics plc has announced the signing of a new five-year contract with The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group of companies (EWM Group).
The Leeds-based provider of logistics solutions and e-fulfilment to the retail sector will now provide logistics services to the EWM Group on a predominantly exclusive basis throughout Great Britain.
Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper, said: “Clipper began its relationship with EWM Group last year. I am delighted that, throughout a detailed tender process we have been able to demonstrate our ability to act proactively as a team and to develop a logistics solution which will make a real difference to the EWM Group’s business.
“We are delighted to have finalised this long term contract to enable us to support the operations and anticipated growth of the EWM Group throughout Great Britain.”
Mark Hebditch, group logistics director at EWM Group, added: “We are delighted to have successfully concluded our negotiations and to be entering into a contractual relationship with Clipper, initially for 5 years, but we hope that it will be a long, successful and prosperous partnership for both parties.”
