Law firm Joelson joins Mayor of London’s business project attracting overseas trade
Joelson, one of the capital’s top law firms, has strengthened its partnership with London & Partners by joining the Mayor of London’s Go to Grow project, aiming to support the international growth of London’s businesses.
Go to Grow is part of London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan’s International Business Programme seeks to assist scaleups in London to expand overseas and attract international trade and investment.
To make this happen, London & Partners - the Mayor’s official promotional company for London - will be hosting various seminars and talks for entrepreneurs and SMEs, some of which Joelson will host.
Philippa Sturt, corporate and commercial partner at Joelson, will be one of the speakers at the event. She said: “We are delighted that London & Partners have invited us to be a part of their Go to Grow programme.
“This is an important time in the capital’s history. While many seem focused on Brexit fears, this project aims to strengthen international connections between London’s SMEs, entrepreneurs and businesses overseas.”
The first seminar is to be held on September 14, focusing on raising money and covering topics from finding the right investor for companies to the negotiation process. Led by Joelson, it will help SMEs and entrepreneurs to gain an understanding of the commercial and legal aspects of finding and obtaining funding.
Sturt continued: “The upcoming talk will offer businesses a wonderful chance to learn more about how they can seek investment to help their business grow from a group of experienced business leaders, solicitors and professional advisers.”
Go to Grow is tailored to fit specific international growth ambitions of businesses, providing a unique mentoring scheme delivered by entrepreneurs and leaders.
