North East solicitors nominated for major awards
A COUNTY Durham law firm is celebrating after being shortlisted in two categories of the industry’s most prestigious awards scheme.
EMG Solicitors has reached the finals of the Law Society Excellence Awards in the Client Service and the Conveyancing Practice categories.
The awards recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and passion that solicitors dedicate to serving their clients, and the winners will be chosen by a panel made up of experts from within and beyond the profession.
The EMG team has beaten off law firms from all over England and Wales to be shortlisted. In the Client Service category, EMG is one of eight finalists and is one of just four picked out for Conveyancing Practice.
The nominations underpin the continued growth of EMG, which was set up in 2014 by Court of Protection expert, Emma Gaudern.
“It is fantastic news to be shortlisted in these national and very important awards, which are open to law professionals all over the country,” she said.
“These are the awards that everyone wants to win, so to be shortlisted twice is a very big achievement.
“These nominations acknowledge the hard work and commitment demonstrated on a daily basis by the whole team and to receive this recognition from such an important panel is a boost to everyone involved at EMG.”
Based at Abbeywoods Business Park, the firm has grown significantly in its first three years, with 19 staff now working across a range of areas of law.
This year marks the 11th annual Law Society Excellence Awards, and the winners will be announced at a dinner at London’s Hilton Park Lane Hotel in October.
