The region's IT and technology awards are open for entries

BT Dynamites 17, the region’s IT and technology awards, are open for entries.

The Dynamites Awards are now in their fourth year and still the region’s only IT and Technology awards. Organised by north east IT network Dynamo, they shine a spotlight on successful regional tech companies and recognise the talent within the north-east tech sector.

With 9 categories and 11 awards there is much to celebrate and many reasons to enter. Entries can be submitted now until the 11th September deadline.

Simon Roberson, Regional Partnership Director of Dynamites 17 sponsors BT said: “We are delighted to support the Dynamites awards once again this year. The awards are a fantastic showcase of industry achievements and really celebrate the true tech sector talent right here in the North East and we’re proud to support the innovation, investment and creativity of our fellow technology businesses.

“I am personally looking forward to being part of the judging panel and seeing the quality of entries that come in. Every year the standard seems to get higher.”

Dynamo Chair, Charlie Hoult added: “The BT Dynamites are now in their fourth year and showcase the exceptional talent and strength of the IT and technology sector here in the North East.

“Part of Dynamo’s founding principles have been to shine a light on the amazing activity across the North East in the fields of IT, computing, software, telecoms, digital, web, mobile. We are constantly amazed by discovering initiatives that are using local talent and making international waves and look forward to seeing this year’s nominees.

“Through the BT Dynamites awards we want to find the pioneering pace-setters, discover dynamic developers and identify the inventers and innovators of the future as well as our more established stars - and ensure they all gain the recognition they deserve.

“Dynamites 17 will honour the very best we have to offer, rewarding innovation and excellence in a regional sector having an increasing role to play nationally and even internationally.

“I’d like to thank our headline sponsor, BT, for their continued and valued support as well as our other generous sponsors including Sage, Accenture, NRG, Capgemini, printed.com and Baltic Training.

Last year’s BT Dynamites Awards attracted more than 100 entries and more than 350 guests attended the gala dinner at Newcastle Civic Centre.

The 2016 winners included ZeroLight, Orange Bus, Tech for Life, IAM Sold, Accenture and HMRC.

The BT Dynamites 17 Award categories are: • Innovator of the Year (sponsored by Capgemini) • Collaborator of the Year • Skills Developer • New Business of the year • Growth Explosion • Project of the year • International Success Story • Rising Star • Outstanding Achievement (sponsored by BT)

Individuals and companies can enter themselves, nominate a client, partner, employee or supplier. Last year competition was fierce, so the more detail in terms of facts and figures, proof of impact or returns the better.

The glittering Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 19th October 2017 at Newcastle’s Civic Centre banqueting hall and tickets are priced at £89 + VAT each, or tables of 10 for £850 + VAT and are on sale now.
