North East PR agency leaves Sunderland for Gateshead
North East PR agency M.A.D Communications has moved to larger premises at Gateshead’s Design Works office space, after outgrowing its incubator space in Sunderland.
The business’ founders, Marie Donnelly and Amy Armstrong, say the move signals the next phase in the firm’s growth journey. Established in 2013, the duo say the agency has surpassed startup phase and is now pursuing further growth as its builds its client roster.
Speaking of the move, Marie explained: “We are delighted to move to Design Works and we’re really looking forward to becoming part of the vibrant Gateshead business community.
“The past four years have been a fantastic, eye-opening, and encouraging experience, as we have continued to grow the business, expand our reach, and build a strong client base on a national and international basis.
“We’ve now reached the point where we need more space if we want to grow our business further, making it the right time to move.”
Having started their journey in an incubator space at Sunderland University’s Enterprise Place, M.A.D Communications has quickly evolved into a thriving business working alongside a wide variety of clients.
Amy commented “We’ve grown so much over the past four years and this office move feels like the natural next step in our journey.
“We viewed plenty of office spaces throughout the North East but Design Works stood out the most as it offered everything we were looking for - fantastic facilities, plenty of communal spaces, and great accessibility.”
The agency provides communications services which include copywriting, public relations, social media management, and marketing services.
Samantha Kane, Design Works Manager, added: “It’s great to have M.A.D Communications on board. We’re always looking for young and ambitious companies to join us here at Design Works.
“The recent refurbishment work has created a vibrant, inspiring working environment for businesses of all natures to grow and thrive. We’re currently home to a community of over 50 businesses, so it’s a great place for companies to work, grow, and network.”
