Gateshead design company Atomhawk reveals Canada expansion

Digital art and design company Atomhawk is opening of a new studio in Vancouver, Canada.

Since 2009 the Gateshead-based has been working with movie studios, game developers and product designers to help realise their visions and bring ideas to life.

Atomhawk delivers concept art, marketing art, user interface design and animation to clients including Warner Brothers, Microsoft, Amazon, Lego and Sony. Atomhawk is also part of the Sumo Group.

The Vancouver studio will be headed up by Creative Director Maurice Kimball who has extensive experience in the entertainment industry.

Maurice has worked as an Art Director, Animator and Concept Artist for clients including Disney, Warner Brothers, Microsoft, Nickelodeon and Mattel.

Maurice commented: “It’s a great opportunity to be joining Atomhawk at such an exciting time in the company’s development.

The team in Vancouver has already hit the ground running on some diverse and inspiring new projects and, with the support and experience of the UK team, we look forward to working with more creative partners in Canada and beyond.“
