Gentoo Homes named on HCA’s new £8bn Delivery Partner Panel
Sunderland-headquartered housing association Gentoo Homes has secured a place on the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) new £8bn Delivery Partner Panel (DPP3).
Joining the North East, Yorkshire and Humber panel, Gentoo will be able to bid for public land opportunities through this framework which should, in turn, create more sustainable housing opportunities in the region.
DPP3 will be used to deliver residential developments over the course of the next four years, enabling successful house builders to speed up the procurement of housing led developments.
Previous generations of the Panel (DPP1 and DPP2), responsible for delivering more than 43,000 homes across the country over a seven year period, have led to two successful land acquisitions from the HCA by Gentoo Homes.
So far this year Gentoo has secured funding of £3.9m from the HCA to build a range of affordable housing products across the North East.
Colin Wood, Managing Director of Gentoo Homes, said: “We are thrilled to have secured a place on the HCA’s new Delivery Partner Panel.
“This success reinforces our commitment and passion to delivering much needed high quality, sustainable homes to the North East and we are looking forward to continuing our strong working relationship with the HCA to achieve this.”
