All-you-can fly airline SurfAir expands services to Zurich
A US airline which offers Netflix-style all-you-can fly subscription services has announced a further expansion to its services just two months after launching its European base in London.
California’s SurfAir will begin offering flights between the capital and Zurich next month with plans to begin offering daily flights to the Swiss business hub by October.
Launching 25 September, the service joins existing routes from London to Cannes and Ibiza with more set to follow this year according to the airline, including Geneva and Milan.
The service provides unlimited flights to users in exchange for a subscription membership starting at £1,750.
The US company was founded back in 2013 and currently services 17 destinations from its California and Texas hubs, with subscribers able to book themselves onto a flight from their smartphone.
Simon Talling-Smith, CEO of Surf Air in Europe commented: “Business travel has always been at the forefront of Surf Air’s key proposition.
“We can provide immense value to this market as frequent fliers often face lengthy and unproductive waits at airports but with Surf Air they can enjoy a streamlined experience.
“Regardless of whether our members show up at the airport just 15 minutes prior to their flight departure or choose to work or relax for longer in our lounge, they reclaim valuable time to be spent on what really matters.”
