Find yourself a new job today with iContract, the latest online career network

iContract, an online career and social network dedicated to matching professionals with available contract roles, has launched today (August 31).

It enables contractors to find work, network and manage elements of a freelancing career online, whilst improving candidate search for recruiters and allow them to get in touch faster.

This comes after its launch in June with BETA, being operational for over a month with over 1,500 contractors across its three sectors: legal, finance and tech.

Co-founder and CEO of iContract, Amanda Cai, said: “As contractors, we found ourselves asking how could we take control and enjoy the work-life balance we craved in an era of increased flexible working?

“We felt we needed a smart way to manage our contacts and availability in one place while easily connecting with recruiters to line up that all-important next role.”

The London-based company was founded by experienced contactors including Cai, along with Paul de Francisci, Eduardo Rastelli, Kulveer Ranger and Edward Bardos. The business is backed by private investors.

The platform is completely free for contractors and recruiters to use in the financial services, IT and legal sectors. According to The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed (IPSE), the number of UK professionals who freelance has grown by 25 per cent and now represents one in every seven UK workers.

This workforce reportedly turns over an estimated £109bn per year.

Cai continued: “We wanted somewhere we can build and present our profiles and reputation, get relevant advice, find reputable service providers and even interact with our peers. So we founded iContract.

“It’s not just another jobs board; it’s a one-stop shop where contractors can truly take control of their work-life balance.”

With this, contractors will be able to source new work opportunities that match their chosen criteria, such as location, day rate, contract length and skillset, then they can connect directly with recruiters.

The platform also allows users to network with others, build up their personal profile and connect with relevant service providers.
