Warrington network for tech innovators welcomes 100th member
A networking platform for technology innovators in the Warrington area has welcomed its 100th member.
The group said it is now targeting 150 active participants after being joined by Liverpool-based web design and app development firm Glow New Media.
Launched six months ago, BaseConnect meets at best practice seminars, networking events and workshops at The Base, the advanced manufacturing and engineering hub on Dallam Lane in Warrington.
The Base is managed by property firm Langtree on behalf of Warrington & Co, the local council’s private-sector led regeneration arm
Sylvie Morton, business development manager at Langtree, said: “ “The speed of growth and the energy at our events tells you everything about the dynamism of the Warrington economy.
“The level of inter-trading between members is the most pleasing aspect of what we’ve achieved so far and Glow New Media’s expertise can only add to the mix.”
Phil Blything, from Glow, said of the decision to join the network: “Much of our own technical innovation and product development has come from collaboration and networks such as BaseConnect plug us into so many great brains.
“The events are always very well attended and there’s a real buzz about the place.”
