12 new recruits bolster North East accountancy firm

North East accountancy practice Tait Walker has strengthened its team with 12 new recruits.

The new appointments coincide with the company’s 80th year celebrations and the recent expansion of its Gosforth HQ which has increased its space by more than 9,000 square feet.

Amongst the additions are Jenny Price, Asad Malik, Michelle Brown, Kaitlin Bowery and Leah Ramsey who all join the firm’s Business Services Department.

Alex Weetman and Jayne Hindmarsh start their careers at Tait Walker as chartered graduate trainees; alongside other new recruits Dean Lonsdale, who has joined as a Wealth Management apprentice; Mark Johnson, who will work in the payroll team; tax trainee Glen Miller; private tax manager Laura Dickson; and senior insolvency administrator Kimberley Beetham.

One of the 12 new recruits, private tax manager Laura Dickson, said: “It feels like a really exciting time to join Tait Walker and it’s been great getting to know the team. I’m looking forward to working in the private client team and with some great clients and local professional partnerships.”

Mark Parkinson, HR partner at Tait Walker, added: “It is great to be able to welcome such a strong group of new recruits to the Tait Walker team.

“We’ve had a great summer of celebrating our 80th year as a firm and welcoming so many talented new faces to the team.

“Our recently expanded office space gives us a great opportunity to train and develop our people, take on more staff and provide opportunities for personal development and progression within the business.”
