David Wilson Homes development praised by Durham planner as final home remains
Five star housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North East, has been praised for its Mount Oswald development in Durham, following a call from the council’s Planning Development Manager for more high quality homes in the county.
Stephen Reed, Planning and Development Manager at Durham County Council, has specifically highlighted the design and build quality of the homes at Mount Oswald. Since it’s build completion, David Wilson Homes has seen homes at the development in high demand from local buyers, with only a few now remaining for sale.
Stephen Reed, Planning Development Manager at Durham County Council commented: “The design and execution of properties at Mount Oswald is something that we would love to see more of in future developments. Thoughtful home designs and layouts in beautiful landscapes that are well executed are what add to the luxury of Mount Oswald’s homes and the development as a whole. Mount Oswald really sets the bar for new build developments and I’m excited to see what David Wilson Homes can bring to Durham in the future.”
Neil Milburn, Development Director at David Wilson Homes North East, commented: “We work hard to ensure we’re delivering quality housing in the region, so it’s fantastic to have such a positive response to Mount Oswald. We take great pride in providing luxury, modern homes and Mount Oswald epitomises this. There is a great community on the development now and with just one home remaining, I’d encourage anyone looking to buy here to move quickly. We’re also seeing high demand for homes at The Drive at Mount Oswald, also in Durham, so we look forward to seeing this development grow and show the same levels of success.”
Located on South Road, Durham, Mount Oswald sits in the local countryside with surrounding woodland and open areas, making for stunning views from each home. The one remaining home is the Litchfield, which combines traditional and thoughtful designs with the modern conveniences of a new house, priced at £649,995. The Drive at Mount Oswald, also on South Road, has a range of three and four bedroom homes available to buy from £252,500.
