New app promises VIP nights out for Manchester revellers
Three Manchester entrepreneurs have unveiled a new app to help revellers plan nights out in the city.
Craig Davies, Craig Gidley and Stephen Powell are the brains behind Viper, which launched over the weekend with help from a host of TV celebrities.
Jorgie Porter of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Cheshire Housewives’ Ampika Pickston and Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson were just a few of the famous guests at Spinningfields bar and restaurant Neighbourhood for the launch event.
Trafford-born Jorgie, who was among the first to download the app, believes it will be a huge success in the UK. The Los Angeles resident and former Hollyoaks star said she wants Viper to branch out to LA as soon as possible.
Available for iPhone and Android, Viper enables users to buy drinks packages and skip queues by upgrading to VIP.
The app’s three creators said the priority is to ensure only Manchester’s top bars feature on Viper, among them Be Impossible, Epernay, Be At One, Living Room, Bijou Club, Milton Club and Club Liv.
Craig Davies said: “We feel there is nothing coming close to what we are offering in terms of identifying the top bars and ensuring users have unrivalled access to exclusive upgrades during their night out.
“We’ve had a great chat with Jorgie and Kieran who were both excited by the look, feel and what the app offers its users, with Jorgie asking us to launch in LA as soon as possible!”
He continued: “Whether you need to find the best bars, have drinks ready on arrival, find which bars have VIP booths available or simply need a queue jump, Viper will let you do this from the palm of your hand.”
