FLOW CREATIVE'S ANIMATED VIDEOS BOOST OPEN STUDY COLLEGE APPLICATIONS
Northern Quarter-based design and animation agency, Flow Creative, has developed a series of videos for distance learning provider, Open Study College (OSC), to celebrate its tenth anniversary.
The six videos have been used across web and social channels to help attract new students by appealing to them in a short, visual and informative manner.
Flow Creative – the award-winning team behind Arts Council England’s grant scheme branding – grasped the brief to create celebratory toned motion graphics. A lead video plus five shorter edits were developed to depict the boldness already embodied by OSC branding and help take it to the next level.
Gaining almost 50,000 views, Flow’s series of videos are being upheld as a significant driver of new traffic. Open Study College has experienced the busiest September on record, which it is attributing to the appealing nature of the motion graphics.
Karl Doran, creative director at Flow, said: “Using Open Study College’s existing bold branding as a starting point, we developed a strong colour palette and contemporary illustrative style. The client was keen that the work had a celebratory tone and felt positive and upbeat, and they were really happy with the outcome – especially the high number of enquiries they received.”
Doran continued: “It’s a great new client win for Flow. Open Study College is an award-winning education provider who has revolutionised the home-study / distance-learning sector over the last 10 years. It’s great to be working with them and to help them mark such a significant milestone.”
Steven Nash, director of marketing and ecommerce, at Open Study College commented on the work saying: “Flow were very quick to get their head around what we do, and what our brand and values are. They skillfully crafted an animation that fit our brand perfectly, communicated our message in an engaging way, and exceeded the high expectations that we already had. Everyone here is delighted with the result and look forward to working with Flow again.”
