Local personal trainer shortlisted for top industry award
Personal trainer Lee Axon has been shortlisted for a prestigious fitness industry award, beating off strong competition to make the finals.
Lee Axon who created the T4 Training system and brand who works from Xercise4less Sunderland has been shortlisted in the Gym Based Personal Trainer of the Year category at the National Fitness Awards, an annual event which recognises excellence and achievement throughout the health and fitness industry.
The awards are organised by leading fitness industry magazine Workout, with support from headline sponsor ServiceSport, and in each category up to seven finalists have been selected, who will now go through to the next stage of the judging process where they will be out to impress by showcasing first-hand the great work they do as trainers – and revealing how they are making a huge difference to their clients’ health and wellbeing.
This stage involves an interview with a member of the Workout team who will compile a comprehensive report, which will then be passed on to an expert judging panel to decide the lucky winners. Trophies will then be handed out at a glittering awards ceremony on Friday December 1 at The Athena in Leicester, which will be hosted by international fitness expert Dean Hodgkin & presenter, fitness expert and Wonder Woman Amazon, Jenny Pacey.
National Fitness Awards’ event director Judith Halkerston said: “All our shortlisted facilities should be really proud of their achievements in being chosen as a finalist as the calibre of entries has been amazing.”
Lee spoke to us on the phone and was “delighted to have been given this opportunity to be recognised by his peers for my tireless work since I started – I really am humbled”.
