Hica care group creates new role to oversee North West operations
A northern care group which operates a luxury retirement village and care services across the North West has welcomed a new regional director.
Lisa Barnes, from Lancashire, has worked in the health and social care industry for over twenty years. She joins the Hull-based Hica Group team at a time of significant investment for the not-for-profit organisation.
She will operate from the group’s award winning Buckshaw Retirement Village in Chorley. Hica Group, which operates 19 care homes, two retirement villages and domiciliary home care across the north, created the role of North West regional manager to streamline its services and ensure the maintenance of best practice and quality standards.
Lisa said: “My role is to oversee operations in the North West – everything from ensuring business development to strategic and operational aspects of care delivery.
“My passion for the care industry began with voluntary work with older people 20 years ago. I worked my way up the career ladder, developing my experience and gaining skills and qualifications across domiciliary care, residential older adults, intermediate care and specialist services.
“Hica is a great organisation to work for. It strives to provide the very best care across all of its services. I look forward to forging the rest of my career while growing and developing services across the North West. “
Penni Brown, chief executive at Hica Group said: “We have developed a strategic approach to developing our services across the North West and are investing wisely to ensure care in the area is maintained at a high level. Lisa has started to streamline services and bring together provisions while maximising best practice and quality standards in line with regulatory guidelines.
“Lisa’s experience, knowledge and passion for the industry makes her an excellent addition to the team and we look forward to seeing her continue and grow this role.”
