Liverpool’s Epic Apart Hotel creates eight jobs ahead of £1m Duke Street expansion

An apartment-hotel in Liverpool city centre has created eight jobs as its prepares to complete a £1m expansion.

Epic Apart Hotel, located on Duke Street, is increasing its offer from 17 apartments to 24.

The project, raising the size of the venue by 7,000 sq ft, means Epic’s portfolio in the city now comprises 41 apartments across three properties with space for 250 guests.

When work on the new space is finished, the Duke Street site will serve as Epic’s head office.

To accommodate its growth plans, the company took on eight new members of staff.

Epic managing director Simon Beer, who co-owns the business with his wife Fiona, said: “We are always looking for ways to expand the Epic experience, and with the company’s incredible and rapid success over recent years, the time felt right for this next stage of growth.

“The team has worked exceptionally hard to ensure every single guest is greeted with the warm welcome they deserve and would expect from a world-class city such as Liverpool.”

He continued: “This property has been incredibly popular with our guests so far, from both the UK and abroad, and we think they will love it even more following the expansion.

“It demonstrates our confidence in Liverpool as a global destination and we look forward to welcoming more guests than ever before – especially with Christmas just around the corner.”

Epic Apart Hotel’s Duke Street property opened in March 2015 following an investment of £850k.

Planning approval for the expansion, carried out by Liverpool-based Abbey Plastering & Services Ltd, was granted earlier this year.

General manager Paris D’Allessandro commented: “We have already had some amazing feedback from our guests about the new apartments at our Duke Street property and It is a treat to be able to give more people the epic experience they deserve!

“We are thrilled to have the new apartments in our portfolio and it has given us the opportunity to employ additional staff which is great for us and I think great for the local economy.”

Paris added: I feel this development has taken the brand to a new level and the new head office will enable us to grow even further in the future.“
