Businesses wanted to help raise aspirations for Fleetwood students
Regenda Homes is calling on local businesses to help support schools in delivering the highly successful programme, ‘The Job Junction’.
Launched last year, the scheme was a huge success and linked 10 local businesses with seven schools across Fleetwood.
The Job Junction runs over a number months and guides students through career advice and the process of applying for apprenticeships.
During the programme, there are also a number of career events which give students the chance to speak with professionals from the businesses taking part.
Steve Newsham, Regional Director at Regenda Homes, said: “The Job Junction is a fantastic project which has received praise from students, teachers and parents.
“Fundamentally it is about getting out there, inspiring the next generation and helping them find a suitable career path to follow.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses in Fleetwood.”
Businesses who took part in the programme last year include M&Y Maintenance and Construction, My Dentist, Santander and RNLI.
