intu Eldon Square entices two exciting new retailers to the north east
intu Eldon Square is looking forward to the arrival of two exciting new brands this autumn, INLGOT cosmetics and accessories retailer Lovisa, both newcomers to the north east.
INGLOT Cosmetics is one of the world’s fastest growing cosmetics companies and intu Eldon Square will be the first shopping centre in the north of the UK to showcase the colourful brand.
Founded in Poland over 30 years ago, the vibrant international cosmetics company can now be found in over 80 countries with 720 boutique stores, stands, and retail locations around the world.
The 1,100 sq ft space, adjacent to jewellery store Swarovski, will boast 10 make-up stations where shoppers can revamp their make-up bags with the extensive range of stylish beauty buys when it opens for business in October, employing 12 staff.
Not only will Inglot offer in-store makeovers, make up lessons and courses but the brand also plans to host unique masterclasses by celebrity and well-known make-up artists.
INGLOT director Jane Swarbrigg said:
“We are delighted to be expanding our UK offering into the north of England and intu Eldon Square’s dynamic city-centre location with sparkling nightlife and thriving student population makes it the perfect way to introduce our brand to the area.
“INGLOT’s ethos to enhance our client’s natural beauty using innovative, high quality products at reasonable prices has already inspired a loyal following of professional make-up artists, beauty bloggers and make up lovers alike, and we’re sure that our fabulous eco-friendly, cruelty free products will be just as popular with the people of the north east.”
Elsewhere in intu Eldon Square, which has an annual footfall of 35 million visitors, international accessories brand Lovisa is set to delight fashion conscious shoppers, while creating 10 full and part-time jobs for people in the region.
With over 300 stores in 13 countries, Lovisa is now on a strong growth phase across the UK. At intu Eldon Square Lovisa will occupy a 900 sq ft unit sitting in between Claire’s Accessories and The Change Group, offering high quality, fashion forward and directional jewellery at affordable prices.
The brand, which was established in 2010, benefits from a network of global trend-spotting product teams who take inspiration from couture runways and current street style to deliver exciting new pieces to customers.
Each store features 6000 styles to choose from with 100-150 new pieces arriving every week and their knowledgeable in-store stylists will be on hand to help find the perfect piece to complement any outfit or help shoppers looking to make a head start on their Christmas shopping lists.
Peter Barker, Lovisa property director, commented:
“At Lovisa we offer designer style at ready to wear prices – appealing to those with refined taste who understand the importance of the perfect accessory.
“We can’t wait to introduce shoppers at intu Eldon Square to our array of beautiful necklaces, statement earrings and chic bracelets - Lovisa really is a first stop shop for the fashion forward woman to get her on-trend accessories fix. We look forward to welcoming our new customers in late September/early October.”
Kate Grant, regional managing director at intu, said: “We’re supporting Lovisa and INGLOT’s ambitious UK expansion strategies with prime retail space at one of the country’s biggest and busiest city centre shopping destinations. This will give them the opportunity to attract shoppers from Newcastle and across the north east for the first time.”
