Interior designer links up with Business Central Darlington

An interior designer who trained with Ann Maurice, Channel 5’s House Doctor, has relocated her business Darlington enterprise hub Business Central.

GMW Interiors, led by Gill Wilkinson, provides interior design and property staging services across the North East by creating spaces focusing on appearance, ambience and layout.

Gill says the firm does this by giving professional advice on all aspects of interior décor to clients which range from homeowners to businesses.

According to Gill, the company supplies a creative project approach and will design a bespoke look or feel in a person’s living space or create a workspace to reflect a business’ brand.

“I largely work with residential and commercial clients such as hotels, bars and restaurants but I also have experience of working with small businesses,” explains Gill.

“Primarily it’s interior design that I offer, whilst specialising in window dressings and soft furnishings.

“However, if someone has their home on the market which they are struggling to sell, I can also offer a property staging service.

“After a consultation with the client, an optional written report will be provided before work begins on bringing the property to its full potential – all whilst working within the client’s budget.”

After being established for nearly seven years, Gill is excited about the prospect of getting to know even more potential clients and businesses in the Darlington area.

“Getting more clients is down to location and Business Central is an instantly recognisable building in a central location in Darlington.” Gill commented.

“The community has a really nice feel to it and that’s what attracted me here.

“It’s all about evolving, meeting new people and making new contacts – there’s always the potential of working with new clients who are based on-site.”

Business Central’s Centre Manager, Vanessa Wood, added: “It’s been great to meet Gill and introduce her to the space here at Business Central, she will add another creative layer to our community.

“Being able to network is vital to Gill’s business and I’m sure she will be able to take advantage of networking events here and make many new connections.”
