Lancashire haulage firm EFS.Global acquires Midlands-based distributor
Freight services and road haulage company EFS.Global has acquired distribution, logistics and warehousing firm Euro SDB Limited.
Burnley-based EFS said the deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, will enable it to expand its service offering and boost its presence in the North West and Midlands.
EFS managing director Mark Jones said: “This deal marks another exciting milestone in EFS.Global’s growth.
“Euro SDB is a much respected name in the marketplace and so is a perfect fit for our business.”
He added: “The acquisition will also enable us to expand our service offering even further.”
The company was advised on the purchase by law firm Davis Blank Furniss.
Corporate partner Sonio Singh provided assistance with legal due diligence and transactional matters, working alongside corporate solicitor Jessica Greenhalgh and Greg Carr of the firm’s property team.
Sonio Singh commented: “EFS.Global is a dynamic company and this deal is a yet another clear marker of its ambition and focus on growth.”
The deal was part funded by RBS Group. KBS Corporate and Gateley PLC handled advisory and legal matters for Euro SDB’s shareholders respectively.
One of the North West’s largest freight and haulage groups, EFS.Global operates eight depots and offices across the country.
The acquisition follows a number of others made by EFS in recent years, including 747 Express Freight, Logictrans UK Limited and RTS Refrigeration.
Euro SDB is based in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
