VRTGO returns for its 4th year and expands to include industry and finance workshops

Following on from the their 3 previous sell out events, VRTGO returns to the North East on 1st and 2nd November with an amazing line-up of speakers, partners and sponsors.

As usual the event gazes into the future of VR and related immersive technologies, whilst giving attendees the chance to try VR and AR demos and meet like-minded, interesting people.

The event will attract a cross section of local, national and international buyers, researchers and developers of immersive technology and will be held at the stunning Norther Design Centre and Baltic Art Gallery in Gateshead.

Attend VRTGO 2017 and hear from Epic Games’, Nick Whiting who leads on AR/VR and will be looking at what they learned about players, technology, physiology, and psychology through creating Robo Recall, and how those lessons are shaping how they think about what they’re working on next. Also hear from Aldis Sipolins, Head of VR at IBM Research, New York. Aldis will be talking about his exciting research into VR and AI in relation to machine learning. Carri Cunliffe, Conference Director said, “As VR starts to be adopted across lots of different industries, the event will be looking at what the impact will be for us in terms of our everyday lives, entertainment, work, social interactions, the world around us. This year the event will include industry specific workshops to give both developers and those implementing VR a chance to explore further the uses of VR and to meet key contacts. Theses workshops will focus on VR in games, manufacturing, architecture and training. Innovate UK will be there as well to sign post companies to the correct contests and funding.
