MarketInvoice names its new senior business development manager

Business finance company MarketInvoice, has today announced the appointment of Julian Cassen as senior business development manager.

Renowned for being a highly regarded senior banking professional with over 25 years of experience in business, commercial and corporate banking, namely at Lloyds Banking Group, he has led teams focussing on asset-based lending and business finance.

Cassen himself commented: “I have witnessed, first-hand, the changes in business finance services over the past couple of decades; fintech has accelerated these developments more recently.

Julian is a career business development and client relationship manager for business finance products and services.

He began his career at TSB Bank in 1991, where he would oversee factoring facilities for clients before joining Credit Lyonnais in 1996. Over eight years here, Julian managed businesses with turnover up to £25m using factoring and confidential invoice discounting services.

In 2003, Julian moved to Lloyds Banking Group in the commercial finance sector before being promoted to regional manager in 2008. For over five years here, he raised the profile of the business in the regions and grew the size of their operations.

Afterwards, he moved to RBS Invoice Finance in 2013 as business development manager where he worked across the bank to deliver and curate business finance solutions for clients across the UK.

Julian is to now work directly with Gavin Sumner, in VP sales, in delivering the business development strategy across sectors and regions whilst inputting on underwriting and risk policies at MarketInvoice to enhance its proposition yet further.

Since 2011, MarketInvoice has funded over 70,000 invoices worth £1.5bn through its platform. MarketInvoice helps thousands of businesses every day with their working capital needs, supporting over 18,000 jobs in the UK at these businesses.
