Eat, drink and be merry - Eat Drink Festival set for Newcastle’s Hoult’s Yard October 13-14
A new two-day celebration of the best food and drink the region has to offer comes to Hoult’s Yard in Newcastle on Friday and Saturday October 13 and 14.
Eat Drink Festival will serve up live music and some 50 exhibitors across three zones - food, beer, wine and spirits - showcasing cask ales and world beers, wine, gin and spirits, food and chef masterclasses.
The Spirit Zone plays host to local gin and spirits from Poetic License, Lakes Distillery, Durham Gin, Alnwick Gin, Temperance, Hepple Gin and more, plus a huge range of free mixers from Fever Tree.
Meanwhile, breweries at the festival include Box Social, gluten-free beer specialist Autumn Brewing, Sonnet 43, beer and cheese pairing specialist Hops and Cheese, new boys Rigg& Furrow, world beers from Champion Bottles and Taps and many more.
There will be food from producers including Papa Ganoush, The Amble Butcher, Le Petite Creperie, The Log Fire Pizza Company, Blagdon Farm Shop and many more.
Meanwhile, you can brush up on your skills with demos from wine, spirit and cocktail masters, plus appearances from guest chefs including Sachins’ Bob Aurora, The Boathouse Food Group’s Martin Charlton, and John Calton from the famous Staith House, North Shields.
The two days, brought to you by Spirit of Northumbria, Cheers magazine, and Appetite magazine, are split into three separate sessions - Friday evening, Saturday, and Saturday night - each with its own atmosphere and eclectic mix of exhibitors, free samples, shopping and masterclasses.
