Law firm partners with Leeds Beckett to support region’s growing businesses
Leeds Beckett University has struck a new corporate partnership with Yorkshire law firm Lupton Fawcett.
The tie-up will see early-stage and growing businesses in the region offered expert advice and support.
Lupton Fawcett, which has operations in Leeds, Sheffield and York, has worked closely with Leeds Beckett for a number of years, but the new partnership will allow it to offer bespoke support to firms based at University Business Centres across West Yorkshire.
Support will include regular free business clinics and workshops, with advice covering areas such as partnership agreements, terms and conditions, contracts of employment and intellectual property.
More than 240 enterprises are currently based in the university’s private offices and co-working spaces.
Leeds Beckett’s University Business Centre and regional business development manager, Katie Rigarlsford, said of the partnership: “All businesses have key requirements in terms of legal, accountancy, access to finance and digital solutions.”
“We are excited to work with key partners within these sectors to help support the success and growth of our University Business Centres and to help those businesses based within them to set up, survive and flourish.”
She added: “We are delighted to be able to do this with Lupton Fawcett as our trusted partner for the provision of legal advice and services to our business clients.”
