Story Of Your Day to offer Switzerland videography training retreats
Story Of Your Day, a UK wedding videography company, is celebrating the opening of its new Switzerland office with the launch of a luxury videography training retreat.
The company’s founder and creative director Emma Wilson will operate Story Of Your Day from both the UK and Switzerland, widening its scope for delivering videography to international destination weddings.
Emma, a former newsreader and video journalist, resigned from a 20-year career with the BBC in 2015 to focus on her burgeoning career as a wedding videographer specialising in luxury, hand-crafted wedding films.
Known for advocating the development of female videographers in the traditionally male-dominated wedding industry, Emma already runs a Facebook group with almost 200 female videographers and offers ongoing one-to-one mentoring and training sessions.
To coincide with the opening of Story Of Your Day’s new office in the ski resort of Wengen in Switzerland, Emma will kick off a series of videography training retreats in the country from November.
The Evolve Retreats: The Art Of Videography for Photographers will be an application-only two-day workshop aimed at photographers who want to learn videography, those videographers new to the wedding industry or just looking to improve their skills and storytelling.
Emma explains: “I enjoy working with women to develop their skills and storytelling as well as their businesses. My Evolve Retreats: The Art Of Videography for Photographers training sessions aims to inspire those who want to make a success of wedding videography.”
“The first Evolve Retreats will be in a five-star luxury spa hotel in Grindlewald and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with those taking part.”
Information on Evolve Retreats - the Art Of Videography for Photographers can be found on the Story Of Your Day website.
