Property firm celebrates success in city centre office market
A leading North East property firm is celebrating a successful third quarter which has placed them as a market leader in Newcastle city centre.
Chartered surveyors and estate agents Bradley Hall let almost 40% of available Newcastle city centre office space, totalling almost 25,000sq ft, during the third quarter of 2017.
This comes as the North East Office Agents Forum (NEOAF), the leading source of regional statistical information on the office sector, revealed that the regional office take up for Q3 is the best in three years.
Nicholas Bramwell, surveyor at Bradley Hall, worked across all Newcastle city centre office deals made by the firm during the third quarter, including the largest letting in the city centre by Trinity Mirror. He said: “This has been an impressive third quarter for Bradley Hall and we have seen success across the board.
“Newcastle city centre is a vibrant and attractive city which also offers one of the lowest occupational costs of all major UK cities. There is plenty of current and upcoming investment in the city centre, which means we are still to see more development.
“We are constantly seeing more intertest from local and national businesses in the city’s office space, as well as more interest from landlords and investors. Bradley Hall is managing a range of exciting projects which have and will bring high quality office space to the market.
“Landlords especially are benefitting from the fact that the city centre is an ideal location to invest in high quality and well located office space, as well as the reliable investment yields which investors can benefit from.”
Bradley Hall has recently brought to market several impressive refurbished office schemes in Newcastle City Centre. The Collingwood Buildings, on Collingwood Street, has received an investment of over £300,000 to update the boutique offices.
Offices at Bank Chambers, 26 Mosley Street, originally the National Westminster bank, based above the popular Miller and Carter steakhouse, have also recently been brought to market by Bradley Hall.
Landlords, HMC Group, have invested significantly in an 18 month long project to modernise the space in preparation for new tenants. The offices will be available soon and reservations are now being taken.
