Turnover rises to £14.9m at Knutsford-based Crawford Healthcare
Advanced wound care business Crawford Healthcare has announced double-digit revenue growth in its latest half-year results.
The Cheshire-based company saw its turnover rise to £14.9m during the six months to September 30, a year-on-year increase of 19%.
Having seen 47% compound average annual growth in the sale of advanced wound care (AWC) products globally over the last three years, Crawford said it has maintained its position as the fourth biggest AWC firm in the UK.
Sales in Germany rose 64% during the year, followed by growth of 43% in the US.
In April, the firm put pen to paper on a three-year national group purchasing agreement with US-based Premier Inc., connecting it with thousands of hospitals healthcare providers across the Atlantic.
Richard Anderson, CEO of the Knutsford-headquartered company, said: “As anticipated, we’ve enjoyed an extraordinarily strong first six months across our direct markets.
“Our UK operation continues to go from strength to strength as we seize market share from the global leading brands promoted by much larger corporations.”
He continued: “We’ve invested significantly in our international teams in a bid to replicate our UK success in new global territories, whilst at the same time delivering enhanced UK and group profitability.
“Our collective hard work in delivering our class-leading products to clinicians and patients across the world has cemented our status as a disruptive force in the international wound care market.”
