MOIRAE FORGE GLOBAL RECOGNITION
Moirae Creative Agency are proud to announce that their work for British Steel has been shortlisted for Steel industry website of the year at the 8th Annual Steelie Awards hosted by the World Steel Association. The World Steel Association (worldsteel) is one of the largest and most dynamic industry associations in the world. worldsteel members represent approximately 85% of the world’s steel production, including over 120 steel producers globally. The Steelie Awards recognise member companies or individuals for their contribution to the steel industry over a one-year period in a series of categories impacting the steel industry. The Steelies are awarded at worldsteel’s annual conference on 16th October. The first Steelie Awards Ceremony took place in 2010 at worldsteel-44 in Tokyo.
British Steel have been shortlisted in the category “Steel industry website of the year” and this award recognises the membership website that demonstrates communications excellence based on 5 key criteria: overall design, loading and page delivery, information range and relevance, navigation ease, and use of new technologies. The selection is made through review of all membership sites by a worldsteel expert panel. External communications experts provide an ultimate judgement on the selection.
Karen Spencer, Marketing Communications Manager at British Steel, said: “We’re thrilled to be shortlisted – it’s great to be recognised for the hard work and efforts the team has put into our new website. We’ve had some challenging and exciting times – working with our new brand and launching our site was extremely rewarding. And, alongside our agency Moirae Creative Agency, we’re continuing to develop the site further and are planning to introduce new functionality to support our growing global customer base.”

The shortlisting adds to an already action packed awards month for Moirae Creative with the Digital Impact Awards in London taking place on 17th October, where Moirae are nominated for 7 awards including three for their work with British Steel on their website and intranet, and also Moirae finding out they have been shortlisted for 3 awards at the Doncaster Business Awards.
