Barking up the right tree! Local housebuilder supports dog rescue kennel
Continuing its support of the communities in which it builds, leading housebuilder, David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, has donated £300 to Cliffe Kennels and Rescue in Barnsley, to help care for and rehome dogs looked after by the centre. The kennels is close to David Wilson Homes’ St John’s Walk development in Hoylandswaine.
Denise Ball, Owner of Cliffe Kennels and Rachel Proctor, Assistant Manager, recently visited St John’s Walk with four rescue dogs: Presley the Border Collie; a Yorkshire Terrier called Micky; Torri, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Honey the Golden Labrador, to collect a cheque from Sales Adviser, Katy Cushing. Cliffe Kennels and Rescue is a leading rescue centre, which aims to find loving homes for stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs.
Denise commented: “We are extremely grateful to David Wilson Homes for this donation. Cliffe Kennels is a family run business and funding from local companies helps us greatly in keeping the centre running and providing the best possible care we can.”
Katy said: “It is very important to us that we work with the local communities in which we build, so we are very proud to have donated to such a worthy cause. It was brilliant to have Denise and the dogs visit St John’s Walk, they really enjoyed the trip and even made friends with some of our David Wilson Homes dogs!”
St John’s Walk is a beautiful countryside development of four and five bedroom homes located in the sought after village of Hoylandswaine. Homes are available to purchase from £386,995.
