Mindspace launches its second London space in bustling Tech City
A global provider of inspiring, contemporary coworking spaces, Mindspace, has announced today (October 31) that it will be opening its second property in London.
Situated at 9 Appold Street, Broadgate Quarter in Shoreditch, this follows a demand from Mindspace’s first London location announced earlier this year. The new location is to span two floors over 40,500 sq ft accommodating 900 new members including startups.
The company was founded in 2014 by Dan Zakai and Yotam Alroy, and operates a total of 15 coworking spaces in the likes of Warsaw and Hamburg.
Dan Zakai, co-founder and CEO of Mindspace, said: “London is a great market for Mindspace’s upscale coworking offering. Having seen demand for our first London location in Whitechapel, we’re excited to announce the arrival of our second co-working space.
“Shoreditch’s trendsetting culture makes it one of the most desirable places to live and work in and the area attracts the world’s leading enterprises, start-ups, accelerators and VCs - some of which already call Mindspace a home for their business in other European cities.”
Mindspace’s community of entrepreneurs and startups from huge enterprises can attend weekly networking events, professional meetups and happy hours.
Among Mindspace’s members are brands such as Microsoft, Barclays Bank, Samsung and M&C Saatchi.
The company offers a professional environment with boutique-style offices and meeting rooms, a series of committed Mindspace community managers, kitchens and supporting technology.
Additionally, Mindspace provides its members with a host of valuable benefits and offers from global and local service providers such as Google and Amazon to local restaurants and wellness suppliers.
The building has recently undergone a renovation, including the establishment of a new reception by design house, March & White. Mindspace is working with local artists and designers to ensure its two new London locations will reflect the local urban areas.
Mindspace’s Shoreditch location provides the perfect backdrop for its members and a desirable business location offering a link between the bustling amenities of the Broadgate district and the vibrant Tech City. The property will be situated two minutes from Liverpool Street Station, the Old Spitalfields Market, and adjacent to the new Amazon HQ.
Kontor handled leasing for Mindspace in this transaction.
